LSU blown out by Auburn 41-7
AUBURN, AL - The Auburn Tigers beat LSU 41-7 Saturday night as the LSU offense and defense took their turns in futility.
The 31 Auburn first half points was the tied for most-ever wtih Les Miles as head coach, and the 378 Auburn 1st half yards was the most under Miles.
Meanwhile, Brandon Harris fell flat in his much-anticipated starting debut, completing just 3 of 14 passes for 58 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions.
Auburn scored on its first 4 possessions, getting touchdowns from Sammie Coates, Nick Marshall and C.J. Uzomah.
Brandon Harris, making his first start for LSU, has been erratic with his throws and shown little of the accuracy he displayed in relief appearances against Mississipppi State and New Mexico State.
LSU got a score from Kenny Hilliard to cut the lead to 17-7, but Auburn responded with the touchdown pass to Uzomah and never looked back. LSU has now given up more than 500 yards of offense in each of its 2 SEC games.
