LSU baseball uses 7th Inning rally to top Purdue in game 2
BATON ROUGE - The LSU baseball used a 3 run rally in the 7th inning to lift the Tigers to a win against Purdue on Saturday night.
The Boilermakers took a 2-0 lead in the 5th inning, but in the 7th, the Tigers re-took the lead as Andrew Stevenson hit a sacrifice fly to get the Tigers on the board, Conner Hale added a pinch-hit RBI single and Chris Sciambra brought in the go-ahead run with a single.
Nate Fury picked up the win in just .1 inning of work, as his 6th inning strikeout was followed by the three runs in the 7th.
LSU improves to 13-2 on the season, and will face the Boilermakers in the series finale Sunday at 1pm.
