LSU baseball tops Nicholls St. 5-3 Tuesday night
The LSU Tiger baseballl team beat in state foe Nicholls St. Colonels 5-3 on Tuesday night at Alex Box Stadium.
The Tigers scored two runs in the second inning to break a 1-1 tie and then added two more in the seventh inning to preserve the victory.
LSU starter Brady Domangue got the win to improve to 2-0 on the season after pitching five innings allowing two runs on five hits, walking one and striking out two.
Head coach Paul Mainieri wanted to see his team swing the sticks a bit better, as no Tiger hitter collected more than one hit in the game.
LSU will host Southern on Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. in Alex Box Stadium.
