LSU baseball senior day rained out
BATON ROUGE - LSU Baseball won't get a chance to take the series from Alabama on Sunday. The game was officially canceled at around 4:45, according to LSU Baseball's twitter page, after a 3 hour and 45 minute rain delay.
Sunday's game was scheduled to be senior day for the Tigers. This year's seniors are Kurt McCune, Sean McMullen, Nate Fury, and Christian Ibarra.
Weather was a factor for the teams all weekend, after rain washed out the game Friday causing a split doubleheader Saturday.
LSU won the afternoon game 2-0 in what was likely Aaron Nola's final regular season home game. The Crimson Tide took the nightcap by a score of 5-1. The second game of the doubleheader started at 10pm after a 3 hour rain delay.
Due to SEC rules, the game will not be made up.
The Tigers will play their last regular season game at Alex Box Stadium on Tuesday night against Northwestern St.
