LSU baseball names Sunday starter
LSU head baseball coach Paul Mainieri says Tiger pitcher Chris Cotton will start the Sunday game against Maryland if all goes as planned.
Mainieri had held off on naming the starter for game three, but today said that Cotton would be his choice if he doesn't pitch in a closers role earlier in the series.
Cotton was a late game pitcher and long relief last season and emerged as a candidate for closer following the departure of Nick Goody to the major leagues.
Brent Bonvillian is another candidate for the Sunday starter role should Cotton be used earlier in the weekend.
