LSU Baseball loses first game of season, 6-3 to Nicholls
BATON ROUGE - Number 2 LSU Baseball loses it's first game of the season, 6-3 to Nicholls.
The Tigers had 14 hits in the game, but stranded 17 runners on base while also committing four errors. Meanwhile, Nicholls had 12 hits in the game to score their six runs.
LSU freshman Doug Norman in his first career start finished pitching 4 2/3 innings, allowing 9 hits and 4 earned runs.
LSU falls to 3-1 on the season. The Tigers will return to Alex Box Stadium Friday, for their weekend series with Princeton. LSU will play a double header, as the Sunday game was moved up to 2 pm Friday, in anticipation of inclimate weather Sunday.
