LSU Baseball Hosts 1st Pitch Banquet
BATON ROUGE - More than 1000 LSU baseball fans turned out at the Crowne Plaza Hotel for the annual 1st Pitch Banquet on Sunday night.
The baseball fundraiser included an autograph session with the team as well as a silent auction.
Former Tigers All-American Ben McDonald was the keynote speaker at the event, and he told Sports2 that he expects good things from the Tigers this year.
"Any time you have Alex Bregman at shortstop and (Aaron) Nola pitching-who is one of the best in the country-you've got a chance," McDonald said.
"They lost a lot from last year, but they'll be talented."
