LSU Baseball Holds 1st Practice of the Season
BATON ROUGE - With inclimate weather on Friday, the LSU baseball team started practice a day late, but head coach Paul Mainieri said the Tigers were excited and ready on Saturday as they began the 2014 season.
The Tigers held a full batting practice and then had a 6-inning scrimmage on day 1, but Mainieri said his team has a long way to go.
"We don't have to be ready to beat UNO today," said Mainieri, referring to the Tigers first opponent on February 14th. "But we're confident we'll be ready on the 14th."
