LSU baseball hangs on to beat UNO, 7-4
BATON ROUGE - The LSU Tigers jumped out to a 7-1 lead in the sixth inning, only to surrended three runs in the bottom half of the frame.
"We let them back in the game by walking some batters in the sixth," said head coach Paul Mainieri. "Then we hit a couple batters in the ninth..."
Parker Bugg came in for ninth-inning relief, hitting two batters, but eventually striking out three to end the game with the bases loaded.
The Tigers survived the scare to go to 2-0 on the season - both wins coming against the Privateers.
LSU takes on Grambling State at Alex Box Stadium at 4pm Sunday.
