LSU baseball drops Saturday doubleheader to Vandy, loses series
NASHVILLE, TN - The LSU baseball team went from 1 game up on Vanderbilt to dropping the series in the same day, as the Tigers dropped a Saturday doubleheader to the Commodores and lost the weekend series 2-1.
With a high chance of rain on Sunday, the teams decided to finish up the series Satuday afternoon and the Commodores took advantage, holding the Tigers to just 4 hits in a 5-3 game 2 win and pummeling the Tigers 9-3 in game 3.
Jared Poche' was the losing pitcher of record in game 3 (4-1) as he took just his 3rd loss since his freshman year of high school.
The Tigers (17-4, 1-2 SEC) will try to bounce back against South Alabama on Wednesday.
