LSU Baseball drops mid-week game to Tulane 7-6
Baton Rouge - The LSU Tiger baseball team lost their fourth game to an in-state foe on Tuesday night when the visiting Tulane Green Wave blasted three home-runs to fuel a 7-6 victory in Alex Box Stadium.
LSU only collected six hits off of four Wave pitchers and four of their six runs came from a Michael Papierski grand-slam in a five run fourth inning.
The loss was LSU's third in their last four games and their third straight to Tulane who won both meetings between the two teams in 2016.
Just like in their series against the Florida Gators over the weekend, the LSU Tigers failed to capitalize on their scoring chances stranding ten runners on base.
LSU will have a quick turnaround as they now host the Texas A&M Aggies for a three game SEC series starting on Thursday.
