LSU baseball continues hot streak, beats Auburn 10-0
The LSU Tiger baseball team continued their red hot play of late with a 10-0 victory over Auburn to start their final regular season SEC series.
The Tigers got eight scoreless innings on the mound from freshman Jared Poche and the Tiger bats belted out ten runs on 15 hits to continue an impressive streak of play this week.
On Tuesday LSU beat Northwestern State 27-0 on 23 hits and six Tiger pitchers combined for a no-hitter.
The shutout win on Thursday night over Auburn was LSU's 16th shutout of the season, a feat which leads the nation.
LSU players Andrew Stevenson and Tyler Moore paced the Tigers at the plate with three RBI each and Mark Laird was 3-for-4 and scored two runs, while Jake Fraley was 3-for-5 with one RBI and one run.
LSU will play for the series win on Friday night against Auburn at 6 p.m..
