LSU baseball announces starting pitching rotation for 1st weekend
BATON ROUGE - Freshmen pitchers will make up two-thirds of the LSU baseball team's starting rotation, at least for the first weekend of the season.
Paul Mainieri announced Saturday that in addition to sophomore Jared Poche' (9-3, 2.45 ERA in 2014), freshmen Alex Lange and Jake Godfrey will get the first chance at the prestigious starters' positions.
Lange is a 6-3, 205 lb right handed pitcher from Lee's Summit, Mo. and Godfrey is a 6-3, 215 lb right handed pitcher from New Lenox, Illinois.
The Tigers start their season Friday, February 13 against the Kansas Jayhawks.
