LSU and MSU in a barn burner, Tigers up 28-23
The once vaunted LSU defense hsa been exposed over the last couple of weeks and the trend is continuing tonight in Starkville.
LSU and Mississippi State have combined for 51 points and 608 total yards in the first half of play. The good news for LSU is that they hold a 28-23 advantage on the scoreboard.
LSU pass coverage has been victimized on a couple of touchdown passes as LSU is playing new players at a number of positions.
LSU's offense worked the two minute drill to perfection, as the Tigers marched the field in 1:53 in nine plays ending with a 14 yard touchdown toss from Zach Mettenberger to Odell Beckham.
As poor as LSU's coverage in the secondary has been, their inabilty to tackle near the line of scrimmage has allowed State to be balanced on offense.
