TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Two of the nation's best defenses will take center stage when LSU and Alabama square off.

Both rank among the top 5 nationally in the major defensive categories going into Saturday night's matchup of the top-ranked Tigers and No. 2 Crimson Tide.

LSU has quarterback harassers at defensive end, not to mention a secondary featuring cornerbacks Morris Claiborne and Honey Badger, Tyrann Mathieu.

Alabama counters with Dont'a Hightower and a big, fast linebacking corps, along with All-America safety Mark Barron.

Players from both sides dished up high praise for the opposing defense by comparing it to their own.

LSU offensive lineman T-Bob Hebert says he doesn't think the Tigers have faced "a defense this talented across the board."

Tide tailback Trent Richardson says the Tigers "don't back down from anybody."
