BATON ROUGE - Football isn't the only rivalry playing out this week between LSU and Alabama.

The tigers and tide swim teams squared off today at the LSU Natatorium.

The meet also brought out plenty of LSU and ‘Bama fans who said the competition in the pool is just as intense as the one on the football field.

"The rivalry's been so big... I feel like the hype in this meet with continue on into the football game," said LSU fan Gloria Johnson.

"They enjoy it every year," said Tami Buch, who was rooting for Alabama. "And this year especially being one and two, I think there's even more excitement surrounding it."

In last year's meet the Lady Tigers defeated the Crimson Tide 198-101 in Tuscaloosa, the men's team lost to ‘Bama 161 to 139.
