LSP: Woman killed in wreck wasn't wearing seat belt
ROBERT - State Police said a Mandeville woman wasn't wearing her seat belt when her vehicle ran into a tree and killed her Sunday night in Tangipahoa Parish.
Troopers said 40-year-old Bridget Rodriguez lost control of her vehicle and crashed while traveling on LA 445 near Robert, La.
Investigators said Rodriguez was doing north in her SUV when she veered to the right, lost control, and ran off the road into a tree. The vehicle turned over, and Rodriguez was ejected and partially pinned underneath it.
Troopers said she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Impairment is not suspected, but a blood sample was taken for toxicology tests as the investigation continues.
