LSP: Victim wasn't wearing seat belt in deadly wreck
CLINTON - State Police said a McComb, Miss. man died in a two-vehicle wreck in East Feliciana Parish Wednesday morning.
Troopers said Cody M. Temple, 23, died in the wreck on LA Highway 67 north of LA 959.
State Police said around 6 a.m. Temple was going sought on LA 67 when he crossed into the oncoming lane and hit a garbage truck head-on.
Troopers said Temple wasn't wearing a seat belt and died from injuries sustained in the crash. The garbage truck driver had minor injuries.
Investigators sent blood samples from the wreck to the State Police Crime Lab for toxicology analysis, but said they do not suspect impairment on the part of the garbage truck driver.
