DENHAM SPRINGS - State Police said a Denham Springs teen was unrestrained and driving too fast when his pickup wrecked this morning, hitting a tree and killing him.

State Police said Brice J. Harris, 18, died in the wreck on La. 1032 south of Vincent Road in Livingston Parish this morning.

Troopers said Harris was driving a pickup north on La. 1032 when he lost control on a curve. The truck ran off the road and hit a tree.

Harris wasn't wearing a seat belt and died in the crash. Troopers said they didn't know if he was impaired, and submitted a sample of his blood to the State Police Crime Lab for testing.
