WBRZ - Baton Rouge

PORT ALLEN - State Police said one person did in a wreck overnight on I-10 in West Baton Rouge Parish.

Troopers said Reginald D. Head, 29, of Maringouin died in the single-vehicle wreck at the border between West Baton Rouge and Iberville parishes.

Investigators said Head drove off the road and into a tree, and was partially ejected even though he was wearing a seat belt. They believe at this time he was driving too fast, which was a factor in the wreck.

A sample of Head's blood was submitted to the State Police Crime Lab for analysis.
