LSP identifies driver killed in I-10 crash
SORRENTO - State Police said a Livingston man died in a two-vehicle crash on I-10 West near Sorrento Monday morning.
Trooper Jared Sandifer said Daniel E. McMorris, 33, hit the rear of an 18-wheeler in the lane next to him around 5 a.m.
Sandifer said McMorris wasn't wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle, dying at the scene.
Investigators said they didn't suspect either driver was impaired in the crash.
The wreck shut down the interstate for a time Monday morning as troopers investigated the scene.
