DENHAM SPRINGS - State Police said they expect to have I-12 West back open around 3:30 p.m. after an 18-wheeler wreck closed it all morning.
The opening was pushed back because the recovery process encountered problems.
State Police said recovery operations were continuing at the crash site near I-12 and Juban Road in Denham Springs.
The wreck, which happened around 3 a.m., initially shut down the interstate in both directions. I-12 East was reopened halfway through the morning. Some people told News 2 they'd been stuck in their cars for around three hours in some cases.
News 2 will have more on this traffic jam tonight starting at 4 p.m.
