LSP: Child trafficking suspect surrenders
LAFAYETTE - State Police said one suspect accused of trafficking children for sex turned himself in today, but a woman sought in the investigation is still at large.
Troopers said Alcoby Con LaSalle, 19, of Lafayette surrendered to authorities in Lafayette Parish around 11 a.m. Wednesday. Deputies booked him into the parish prison on charges of trafficking children for sexual purposes and promoting prostitution.
Investigators said Darneesha Lashay Martin, 22, of Lafayette was still at large and wanted for the same charges.
