SPRINGFIELD - Sheriff's deputies arrested two men in Springfield after they said they found them growing marijuana on someone else's property.

Narcotics detectives with the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office said they caught Jeremy Gordon, 26, and Brandon Bridges, 18, caring for marijuana plants on an innocent victim's property on Linda Haven Road.

Detectives said the plants appeared "well-tended" and "mature," and were being grown inside a locked dog kennel out in a wooded area. Both plants were worth an estimated $2,400.

Investigators charged Gordon and Bridges with cultivating marijuana and criminal trespassing, and booked them into the parish jail on $100,500 bond each.
