LIVINGSTON - Deputies in Livingston Parish said a man confessed to cooking meth in his home after deputies arrested him for desertion.
According to Perry Rushing with the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office, deputies were contacted by the Army and told Bradley Burton, Jr. was wanted for deserting.
Rushing said when deputies found Burton near his home on Bonnie Drive, he also had meth in his pocket and admitted to cooking it himself. Deputies then went to his home, where they found a "rudimentary" meth lab.
Burton was booked into the parish prison on charges of possession with intent to distribute meth and manufacturing meth.
