LPSO: 20 wrecks since curfew lifted
DENHAM SPRINGS - Authorities in Livingston Parish said they've worked more than a dozen wrecks since the curfew was lifted this morning.
Deputies responded to a 5-vehicle pileup on an icy curve in Highway 16 around 11 a.m. They said there were no injuries, and a wreck which came to pull one of the vehicles out also slid into the pile.
One driver involved in the wreck told News 2 they were out because they were going stir crazy at home, but getting into a wreck definitely wasn't worth it.
Sheriff Jason Ard said deputies responded to 20 wrecks after the curfew was lifted, and continued to urge drivers to stay off the roads.
