Louisiana sixth worst in life expectancy after 65
ATLANTA - Louisiana has the sixth worst life expectancy and healthy life expectancy for those at the age of 65.
The news comes from the first ever federal report on state-by-state life expectancy.
The Centers for Disease Control has Louisiana with life expectancy of 17.9 years after 65 with 12 of those years being healthy.
Hawaii had the top ranking with 21 years of life expectancy.
Missississipi was last at 17.5.
