Louisiana's top dogs competing at Westminster
BATON ROUGE - The search for America's top dog begins today the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York City. This year there are plenty of Louisiana connections, including several dandy dogs that could win "Best in Show".
Thousands of the nation's best dogs will be on display tonight. The be named America's top pooch, they must first win their breeds and groups. Last year, a little Cardigan Welsh Corgi with Baton Rouge connections won her group and nearly brought the title of "Best in Show" back to the boot. She'll be back again this year hoping to win the hearts of fans and the judges.
Betty Cline, who's shown at Westminster, Carl Grotton of the Baton Rouge Kennel Club and his buddy Astro, the Siberian husky, joined John Pastorek on 2une In this morning to preview the much-anticipated event.
