Louisiana's Artist Laureate George Rodrigue has died
BATON ROUGE - Louisiana's Artist Laureate, George Rodrigue, has died.
Artist and Louisiana ambassador will live on through his many iconic paintings.
Rodrigue's Blue Dog paintings became a symbol of Louisiana.
Governor Jindal says he is "saddened by the passing of one of Louisiana's favorite sons. Rodrigue's legacy is much more than what is seen on the canvas. His generosity and charity for the people of Louisiana will not be forgotten."
