BATON ROUGE - Chief Instructor Jeremy Coco from the Louisiana Culinary Institute joined us in the kitchen on WBRZ News 2 at 4 to talk about a new program aimed at those looking to break into management careers in the food service industry.
Jeremy said the program is designed for individuals who want to get into the management side of the culinary arts. The demand for highly trained managerial is staff is reaching an all-time high, according to the instructor.
The program will educate "front of the house" staff on the most important parts of restaurant presentation, table setting and dealing with customers.
Jeremy said the course is open to all ages and said past students have ranged in age from 18 top 56.
The Louisiana Culinary Institute, located at 10550 Airline Hwy, is holding an open house July 10 from 6-8 p.m. to highlight the new program and show off their other class offerings.
