BATON ROUGE- A Louisiana appeals court has upheld the life sentence given Michael "Marlo Mike" Louding in a murder-for-hire case.

Louding was convicted in 2013 in Baton Rouge for first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of 35-year-old Terry Boyd.

Authorities say Boyd was shot to death October of 2009 through a window while sitting inside a home in Baton Rouge.

Prosecutors have argued the shooting was arranged by rapper Torrence Hatch, who is also known as Boosie Badazz or Lil' Boosie. Hatch was found not guilty on charges related to Boyd's death.

Louding argued in his appeal that the trial judge made several errors during the trial and in his sentencing. The Baton Rouge appeals court panel of three judges ruled Friday that Louding's allegations were without merit.
