BATON ROUGE- Some people in Baton Rouge waited in line for two hours today to get their vote in early.
The long lines caused some people to turn around at the door of the East Baton Rouge Parish governmental building on Coursey Boulevard, one of several early voting locations in the parish.
More than 20,000 people have voted early in East Baton Rouge so far this year. Ascension and Livingston parishes each report more than 5,000 people voted early.
People tell News 2 there is more of a focus on this election because it includes a presidential race and a Baton Rouge mayoral race. They say factors like the economy and crime are key issues.
Early voting for the Nov. 6 election wraps up tomorrow at 6 p.m.
