Lockdown at Louisiana prison after fight
An inmate-on-inmate assault at the U.S.Penitentiary in Pollock caused a lockdown over the weekend.
The Alexandria Daily Town Talk reported one of the inmates, as well as some responding staff, sustained injuries during the incident, although those injuries were non-serious.
In a new release, prison officials said the lockdown was precautionary, and that the prison was secure.
While on lockdown status, inmates were restricted to their living quarters and routine activities, like visitation, were suspended.
