The Mentorship Academy of Science & Technology and the Mentorship Academy of Digital Arts announced Wednesday the downtown location for the two new charter high schools set to open in July.
The former Regions Bank building at the corner of Florida and North Fourth Street will serve as the primary location for both schools.
"This is the ideal location for our innovative schools,” said Mentorship Academy executive director
Dr. Brian Dixon. “Being located in the heart of downtown Baton Rouge, students will be able to truly
engage in authentic connections to the adult world through internships, job-shadowing and project?
collaboration."
The agreement to purchase the space in the building also includes a lease agreement that will provide space to accommodate future growth.
