Locals getting a kick out of Foot Golf
Baton Rouge - City Park golf course looks a lot different these days with all the foot traffic, or rather: Foot Golf traffic.
BREC began offering Foot Golf in May, and Director of Golf Mike Raby says the sport - which combines soccer and golf - is already accounting for 25% of all traffic at the course.
The game is simple: kick the ball into the cup in as few kicks as possible and the lowest score wins, just like golf.
The game moves along quickly - especially compared to golf - with 18 holes taking about an hour and a half.
Two golf courses around Baton Rouge offer Foot Golf: City Park in Baton Rouge, and J.S. Clark Golf Course in Baker.
