Local Women in Politics gather for Spiritual Enlightenment Breakfast

BATON ROUGE - Local Women in Politics are hosting a morning of fellowship, encouragement and breakfast Saturday in Baton Rouge.

BESE Board Member Carolyn Hill and Baker City Councilwoman Joyce Burges joined 2une Friday to discuss the 3rd annual Spiritual Enlightenment Breakfast.

"The mission of Women in Politics is to pray for, refresh, inspire and empower women you are elected officials that lead and serve," Burges told News 2's Kylie Dixon.

"We want to invite women who are friends of Women in Politics to come out as well," Hill explains. "We all have to come together and pray for our communities to make sure all our people are successful."

The Women In Politics 3rd Annual Spiritual Enlightenment Breakfast is Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. At the LSU Faculty Club.
