Local woman killed in suspected teenage drunk driving crash
PINEVILLE- An 18-year-old from Livingston Parish faces charges after a crash in Central Louisiana, State Police said Monday.
Trinity J. Sullivan, of Holden, is charged with vehicular homicide and reckless operation. Investigators said they also believe the teenager was impaired when the crash happened just before 3:30 p.m. in a rural area of Rapides Parish.
Brenda A. Starns, also of Holden, was killed in the crash. Starns, 38, was wearing a seatbelt.
Troopers said Sullivan was driving at a high rate of speed when it vaulted over another street, and collided with a tree and utility pole.
Sullivan, who was also wearing his seatblet, had only minor injuries and refused medical attention.
