Local megachurch pastor has "inappropriate relationship," moves to Alabama church
BIRMINGHAM- Former Baton Rouge pastor Dino Rizzo has returned to the pulpit more than a year since he took a leave and eventually left Healing Place Church.
He is now an associate pastor at The Church of the Highlands in Alabama. He preached a sermon Wednesday night about returning lives to God.
His new church is not hiding what happened in Louisiana.
He was "involved in the early stages of a brief, but inappropriate friendship with another woman," church leadership in Alabama said, adding that Rizzo is on a path to "healing and restoration."
Healing Place is now headed by Mike Haman.
