Dr. James Hines of Baton Rouge packed his bags Saturday afternoon for his trip to Haiti. Hines will join first responders and provide primary health care to victims of the earthquake.
"The suffering of the people is really unimaginable and images on TV really can't capture the level of despair and frustration," said Hines.
Hines will first meet with family and friends in Haiti, where he says he'll have to attend at least seven funerals once he arrives. He leaves Sunday morning for the Dominican Republic where he will travel with officials to Haiti.
