Livingston tax revenue rises in April
There's good news for Livingston Parish. Sales tax collections for April were the highest since Christmas.
Sales tax revenue collections were up $1.4 million from the previous month for a 31 percent increase.
The latest collections are still down 5 percent from last year, but that is the lowest percentage decrease the parish has had in six months.
Sales tax collections for the current fiscal year, which ends June 30, are down 11 percent.
