LIVINGSTON - Thursday night a unanimous decision by the Livingston Parish School Board to add more security to 44 schools around the parish.

Four deputies, will be added to help secure the schools, one deputy is already working.

A tentative plan will be for the deputies to rotate through the schools on a schedule, switching up daily so the schedule never becomes routine.

The security comes with a $200,000 price tag, which is coming out of the school board's general fund.
