BATON ROUGE- April was a record breaking month for Livingston Parish sales tax collections. In fact, it was the highest April on record.
That may only be the start of the good news. The parish opened a new Walmart in the Watson area. Sales from that store have not been factored yet. A Sam's Club will also open later this month meaning more money.
We will take a look at the impact and what the public hopes the money will be used for tonight on News 2 at 6.
