Livingston reviews plans for closed, dangerous bridge
DENHAM SPRINGS- Parish leaders hope to begin work on a new bridge for Wax Road by the end of 2013.
Monday, plans entered the review phase. A new bridge will be built to replace on that has been deemed dangerous.
The bridge on Wax Road, near Vincent Road, was closed in July. Engineers said support pilings had deteriorated and the bridge was sagging in the middle.
People have had to detour around the closure.
