Livingston Parish stands to lose $1.5 million in state money to fix a deadly road, if the parish council doesn't make a decision tonight. The money is specifically set aside to fix "Eden Church Road."
The parish finance committee will meet this afternoon followed by a regular council meeting this evening.
The state is giving the parish $1.5 million to fix the "s" curve in Eden Church Road, repave it and add a turning lane. However, the money is time sensitive and the parish must put up about $350,000 of its own money before it can accept state money.
News 2 will have a crew at the meeting and provide the very latest on News 2 at 10.
