WALKER - Walker Police arrested a former Walker Freshman High School teacher, accused of having sexual relations with a 15-year-old male student.

Officers charged  33-year-old Lynsie Pendarvis with felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile and indecent behavior with a juvenile.

The alleged incident occured during the most recent school semester. An investigation began one week ago.  Officers interviewed the student and his parents, when they say he acknowledged the sexual relation.  They say the teen told his parents about the relationship shortly before their interview.

Police found Pendarvis Wednesday in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, where Hattiesburg authorities took her into custody.  She was taken to Walker today and booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center.

Pendarvis's bond is set at $100,000.

Pendarvis was arrested on child desertion charges last week. An affidavit obtained by The Investigative Unit doesn't contain many details of that arrest but does say that officers were dispatched to the Papis Fajitas Factory in Denham Springs in response to an intoxicated female.
