Livingston Parish contractor fights vandals
DENHAM SPRINGS- A new neighborhood near the corner of Lockhart and Dunn Roads was the victim of vandals earlier this week, after homes under construction had their windows smashed causing thousands of dollars worth of damage.
"Damaged the windows, some of the frames, inside the house made a huge mess," said Dana Rushing, the contractor on the project, "We've had minor problems, but this has been one of the bigger ones, a couple thousand dollars or more in damage."
Now Rushing has a sign in place asking for tips on who smashed the glass. He hopes a $500 reward will bring in information.
"I think the people who live around here don't want this to be a mark on their neighborhood as well, so we've gotten some calls from people in the area, they've seen some things and we referred them to sheriff's office," said Rushing.
If you can help find the vandals contact the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office.
