Livingston issues curfew
LIVINGSTON - Livingston Parish officials, including Sheriff Jason Ard and Parish President Layton Ricks, have issued a parish-wide curfew until 7 a.m., Jan. 25.
Leaders in the parish said the slick, dangerous roads and harsh weather conditions prompted them to issue the curfew. Only essential personnel will be allowed on the roads until the morning.
Overpasses on I-12 in Livingston Parish are open, but traffic officials don't expect them to stay open through the night.
Parish leaders said the main concern is keeping Florida Blvd. and Magnolia Bridge Road open as long as possible.
