LIVINGSTON - Members of the Livingston Parish Council are considering an override of a budget veto by Parish President Layton Ricks.
Ricks vetoed the budget on December 19, saying it didn't contain tax money dedicated to road work and other projects.
Ricks says he will operate under the terms of the budget he proposed in September.
A special council meeting for Monday evening was announced Friday, but then canceled.
The next regular meeting of the council will be January 9.
