Litter a problem on Hwy 42, Amite River

PORT VINCENT- Trash lurking in the Amite River is becoming more visible following flooding from Hurricane Isaac.

Residents in the area say the high waters floated trash into areas along the banks of the river.

Those residents also say more people are littering along Hwy 42.
