Line cook claims 'GOD' found in eggplant
BATON ROUGE - A line cook at Gino's Restaurant claims he found "GOD" spelled out in his sliced eggplant.
Jermarcus Brady said he was slicing eggplant, preparing for Monday's dinner rush, when he claimed he noticed the strange markings in the eggplant.
"When I first saw it I was just like, woah," said Brady. "It spelled out God!"
Brady says he showed his fellow employees to see what they thought.
"I went back there and he was overwhelmed," said restaurant owner Gino Marino. "I looked at it, we were just drawn back. We just couldn't believe what we were looking at."
Gino's is an Italian restaurant at I-10 and College Drive.
Marino said they've been slicing eggplants for 48 years at Gino's and have never seen anything like this.
